Prestonsburg Economic Development Foundation, Inc. has a great opportunity to serve your community in the area of community and economic development in connection with the American Connection Corps (ACC). If selected as the Economic Opportunity Developer, you’ll get to be a
relationship builder connecting people and organizations. You’ll be a Coordinator and Planner, helping groups chart Floyd County’s future. You’ll support the movers and shakers in our towns harnessing their vision, developing plans, and pushing forward exciting projects that will solve some of Floyd county’s biggest challenges. You’ll get to help PEDF work with organizations that are building homes for families, creating jobs, opening new businesses, and helping people recover from disasters. You’ll play a key role in helping organizations seek out abandoned mine lands and old dilapidated buildings and then reimagine ways to breathe new life into them. Then you’ll get to help key players get the designs in place and turn those dreams into reality. You won’t be alone. You’ll be coordinating over a dozen partner organizations in Floyd’s Building Resilient Economies in Coal Communities (BRECC) team. So, if you’re a social person who loves planning and moving big projects forward to improve the community, you’ll love being PEDF’s Economic Opportunity Developer.

Interviews begin July 10th and will be ongoing until filled. Expected Service Dates: Sept. 2024 – Aug 2025.
